KINDERGARTEN LEFT "HEARTPRINTS" BEHIND

On Valentine's Day, we passed out our valentines to our friends and had a special valentine snack and then we visited the Waterford Assisted Living Home in Smyrna. We sang songs and gave them valentines that we had made. The students did a great job! What a blessing for both the kids and the residents! We definitely left "heartprints" behind!

On Friday, we concluded our study of how to take care of our heart, by doing an experiment, playing a game, and listening to each others heart with a stethoscope. We learned that our heart is a muscle in our chest, what is good and bad for our heart, and how it sounds. God made our bodies and our heart and it is amazing!!! See our pictures below.

REMINDER: NO SCHOOL ON MONDAY DUE TO PRESIDENT'S DAY

Next week, students may wear blue jeans and Ezell t-shirts. This is a reward for meeting our goal on the can drive that we had.

We will continue to work on the following skills:

  • reading and comprehension
  • rhyming
  • long vowel sounds
  • handwriting
  • addition
  • telling time to the hour
  • tens and ones
  • recognizing and writing 1-30
  • counting to 75
  • counting by 5's

We hope that all of you have a wonderful week-end!
Mrs. Gee and Mrs. Woody
