KINDERGARTEN IS A TREAT!

We had a great field trip to the Pumpkin Patch this week! Thank you to all the parents who went with us. The children were great, the weather was amazing, we all picked out the perfect pumpkin, and had a wonderful time!

This week, we are creating our own EHCS Pumpkin Patch in the Eagles Nest. Bring your pumpkin, decorated as your favorite storybook character, to the patch in the Eagles Nest, any day Monday-Thursday.They will be judged on Friday. It is always a lot of fun to look at all the pumpkins!

Reminder, due Monday:
Bring your cereal box covered in black paper. Do not decorate! We will do that at school.
Also, bring in one bag of candy.

Next Week at a Glance:

Bible-Moses and the children of Israel cross the Red Sea
Literacy-/t/ and /i/ sounds
Writing a-z
Math-Numbers 18, 19, 20

Our Fall Party will be Friday. It will be a lunch party, so your child will not need to bring a lunch that day.

As the weather gets cooler,  please make sure that your child has long pants (khaki), as well as, underclothes, in their extra clothes left at school. Also, make sure that your child's name is on their coat, hat, mittens, etc.

KINDERGARTEN IS A HOOT!

WOW! We sure did have a great time at the Vocabulary Parade! The children looked great and learned a lot of new words! Everyone had a great time and we hope that those of you who came, enjoyed it, too.

Your child's report card was sent home today. Please sign and return it on Monday. Thanks.

On Thursday, this week, we will be going on our second field trip to Walden Pumpkin Farm. Your child will need to wear their red field trip shirt, jeans, and tennis shoes. We will be eating lunch when we get back to school, however, all students will need to bring their lunch because we will not be eating at our regular scheduled time. If you, as a parent, plan to go with us, you need to send in $7.00 by Monday.

This week we will be studying all about owls. On Friday, we will be dissecting an owl pellet and we will go "Owling." This is based on the book "Owl Moon." You might want to check it out.
